Change Lives
for Good
Who We Are
The Need
Teeth for Life Scholarships, a registered non-profit organization, provides partial and full scholarships for dental care to qualified patients committed to regaining their oral health.
It distinguishes itself by focusing on intentional, oral rehabilitation rather than emergency care.
We partner with regional dental practices in the Pajaro Valley, to ensure that patients restore their ability to chew, regaining full oral health.
What We Do
As the saying goes, healthy mouth? healthy body! Dental issues are linked to cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Gum infections, dental pain and the loss of teeth are severely debilitating to a person’s ability to function.
The dental landscape in the Pajaro Valley spans from those with insurance to those reliant on welfare.
Teeth for Life Scholarships comes alongside qualified patients needing complex dental treatment, with grants that help them regain their ability to chew, and consequently their health and their personal and social well-being.
Thousands of people in the Pajaro Valley are hindered from their full potential due
to dental pain, gum infection, an inability to chew, and consequently a range of health issues that affect their personal and social wellbeing.
These patients are considered qualified for scholarships because of their consistent effort to improve their oral health and a commitment to fund part of their treatment.
Solutions for Life
We have met many patients with complex restorative needs. These cases highlight the urgent need for scholarships that help patients with treatment they cannot fully afford.
Teeth for Life Scholarships addresses the pressing need for comprehensive dental care in the Pajaro Valley, leveraging partnerships with existing dental practices and a commitment to
patient education for a lifetime of excellent health.

Teeth for Life Scholarships:
Complex dentistry restores life.
Oral health is paramount to the health of the body. Dental issues are linked to broader health concerns like cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Gum infections, dental pain and the loss of teeth are severely debilitating to a patient’s ability to function.
The key is excellent treatment, and a patient’s personal commitment.
The dental landscape in the Pajaro Valley spans from those with dental insurance to those reliant on welfare. Dental insurance covers routine appointments and occasional fillings. In contrast, public clinics are overwhelmed by patients seeking emergency extractions.
Somewhere in the middle is a working population, mostly without dental insurance, committed to improving their oral health. For a range of reasons, they need complex treatment beyond what they can afford. Teeth for Life Scholarships prioritizes candidates committed to continued care, distinguishing itself from charities providing one-time emergency services. Scholarships help bridge the gap in comprehensive oral care.
Changing lives, for good.
Dr. Alexandra Jaquery has treated several hundred patients in the Pajaro Valley with complex restorative needs. These cases highlight the urgent need for matching grants that help patients restore their health, their ability to chew, and consequently their personal and social well-being.
Unlike volunteer-based initiatives, Teeth for Life Scholarships collaborates with existing dental practices, and qualified patients who fund part of their complex treatment.
Founded by Dr. Alexandra Jaquery, Teeth for Life Scholarships leverages Dr. Jaquery's expertise in restorative dentistry. The mission includes identifying qualified patients, raising scholarship funds, and educating the public about oral health. The organization strives to come alongside patients aware and committed to regain optimal health but unable to afford their full treatment.
We honor the legacies of Guilherme Rody Soares DDS, MS, and John Jaquery, individuals who recognized the importance of oral health for personal and social well-being. Dr. Jaquery's passion for dentistry and her husband Vini's advocacy work inspired the organization's founding.
Funding Objective:
Teeth for Life Scholarships is a registered non-profit organization and gifts are tax exempt to the extent provided by Federal and State laws. Teeth for Life Scholarships currently seeks funding to award $1 million dollars in matching scholarships in the first year. Qualified patients are expected to fund part of their treatment.
